Buying a Hungarian Vizsla puppy means seeing the litter with its mother. That is a legal requirement under Lucy's Law, not a courtesy. Ask for health results on both parents rather than the puppies: for Hungarian Vizslas that means BVA hip and elbow scores, an eye test, and awareness of hyperuricosuria in the line. Reputable breeders will have microchipped and first-vaccinated the pups before they leave, and will happily talk about what the parents actually do in the field rather than only how they look. Take your time. A good Hungarian Vizsla litter is worth waiting for.
